Erik has extensive experience at Alliander, a leading Dutch energy company, where he has spent over 15 years working on complex technical challenges. His work includes rolling out and maintaining applications using Jenkins and Helm and designing, developing, and deploying Kafka environments on Kubernetes in Amazon Cloud. This hands-on experience gives him a detailed understanding of the technical trade-offs between vendor-supported Kafka solutions and open-source implementations, along with practical insights into managing and scaling these systems in real-world scenarios.
